It was such a pleasant surprise when I discovered that Cedar Waxwings liked to hang out at the creek that runs alongside my street. I've been dying to see these beautiful birds up close and in-person. I may have run out of time for it this year, but I am very determined to get a shot that really captures the beauty of these birds.
I chose this photo over some of the sharper ones because I prefer the composition and pose.
Cedar Waxwing Choconut Creek, Vestal, New York EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
They should be in Jersey, but I never spotted any there - waxwings have been on my birding wishlist for a long time And yes, that is amazing how they can hold themselves on such a small twig without even breaking it too.
