Don't you hate it when your eyes are bigger than your stomach?

I was watching as he went for this one. Something else must have been eating it because there was a lot of splashing in the area - it caught the heron's attention, so he went over to take a bite. I do have a photo of him lifting up the dead fish, but it's not as clear.
