Across the creek that runs along side my road is a baseball field that has beautiful habitat surrounding the entire thing. After last week's flood, however, a lot of this habitat was crushed and the overgrown woods is now a bed of rocks with trees sticking out. There are still some areas that remain "normal" - I do hope that things grow back next year. This looked like a great spring migrant spot (had lots of warbler movement while I observed from across the creek). In case you were wondering, the field was untouched. The birds, butterflies and dragon flies are still enjoying what is left.
