This little Vireo hit my sliding glass doors and dropped onto my deck. He was in shock so I only snapped a couple of photos. To protect him from the outdoor cats in the area, I put him in a box with a small blanket. He flew off after twenty minutes.

Hi Melissa, nice close up!
yeah I have the same problem with the gold finches that use my feeders... so when I go off to work I close the curtains. when I'm home I have a stained glass window hanging that helps keep them from banging against the glass door.

Poor little guy! Do you put anything on your glass doors to scare away songbirds? I've seen a lot of stick-on hawk silhouettes, or even just a nice frosted glass pattern.
