Irruption by mydigitalmind Irruption by mydigitalmind
One of nearly 100 Pine Siskins who visited my yard for a week. Due to wide-spread crop failure in the north, winter finches are predicted to show up in high volumes this year.

This is going to be a great winter! I got my first Sapsucker, Brown Creeper, and Red Breasted Nuthatch a few days ago here in Central Ohio. There's been reports all around Ohio of Siskins, Red Breasted Nuthatches, a Snow Bunting, and more. I believe a few crossbills might have been heard flying over up near Erie too recently... This is going to be a fun winter. :la:

</end>Total bird geek out.
