Ringneck by mydigitalmind Ringneck by mydigitalmind
Ringneck Snakes are typically found under flat rocks - and that is exactly where I found this one. I lifted up this rock with the intention of supporting a new feeder pole, but it was already in use by this snake. Of course I had to get the camera for a few shots before I gave him his cover back.

I love the tiny ring necks  we have a darling California ring neck that would occasionally make a showing in southern CA..."ours" have the red ring...perfect setting with the rocks and absolutely perfect setting!!!

They are mildly venomous, however, they are not aggressive.

Oh the irony. I just found a baby ringneck in our dining room last night. Freaked us out a little bit;) They are pretty cute though...

Haha we've had issues with all sorts of little creatures, so that's one reason we want to get a cat now!

As far as he was concern, you just lift up HIS HOUSE. How would you like it if some alien comes lift up your house and take pic of you sitting in the tub?
