Another one from the archives that I've been holding onto. I'm in love with the comp, even though the bird is not so clear.
The female Red-winged Blackbird is often overlooked since the males are the ones who put on the show. This is a great example of how males and females of the same species can look completely different from one-another. While the male is dressed to impress, she is dressed to camouflage while nesting.
