The zoo had three Bald Eagles in the exhibit. This was one of the smaller ones who would move around a lot. They all kept calling out to each other.
Did you know that eagles do not have vocal cords? Sound is produced in the syrinx, a bony chamber located where the trachea divides to go to the lungs. (source)
