I've always wanted to get a photo of a White-tailed Deer on alert - even if it meant her running away. While walking down a trail, there were three deer who kept crossing from one side to the other. We stayed in this area because it was rich with birds who were enjoying berries. The trio didn't seem to mind us much, except for this one moment when the last one crossed over in a sprint.
At one point, I was walking down the trail only to notice that one of them quietly came in near me. I looked up and she was about ten feet away. Oops!
