Description
I heard a bit of an uproar of the finches at my feeder and as quick as he perched down, a Nashville Warbler who was chasing one of the regulars flew off. This grabbed my interest so I took a break from work and went out on my deck. LOTS of activity everywhere. Aside from the normal House and Goldfinches I had more Nuthatches than usual and many, many Chickadees and Titmice. With them, had a mix of at least four Black-throated Green Warblers - one who chased a nuthatch to my close tree (this shot) - and a couple of Yellow-rumped Warblers in drab plumage. Also had some Red-eyed Vireos come to my closer trees. MEANWHILE, the crows were right in my woods going nuts. Along with the noisy little birds, I had crows cawing (and some Jays too) the entire time. Finally, after 15 minutes of enjoying the birds, a Red-tailed Hawk darted away from the crows... and just like that, all of the birds disappeared.
